Biblical View

As a young boy I grew up in Cape Town,South Africa,in an era of political turmoil, racial struggle, oppression and segregation('apartheid').The white government of the time enforced inferior education systems,social development structures and discriminatory judiciary systems on the black,coloured and indian populations,to secure their minority group's survival in a country where the majority were oppressed.

 

Being raised by a family of teachers,ministers and freedom fighters we OPPOSED these laws, and refused to accept that we were strangers and outcasts in our OWN country. Like SO many of my fellow countrymen, I was prepared to make the ULTIMATE sacrifice for our freedom, EVEN if it meant losing my life. In March 1976 I left South Africa for Tanzania,to receive training in guerilla warefare.It was during THIS time that I neglected my relation with God.

Two weeks before the June 1976 riots,I returned home,to aid the final preparations for the revolt. In August 1980 I was expelled from teaching by the "apartheid" government,and detained under the Internal Security Act. In-between the inhumane tortures I have suffered in detention,I had a lot of time to find my God again,and to restore my relationship with Him. In fact,I believe if it was NOT for HIS divine intervention during THIS time, I would DEFINITELY NOT be alive today,to tell MY story. I truly experienced HIS grace and comfort in those DARK moments of my life.

 

Last but NOT least, I  hold  degrees in Theology, Ministry(h.c), Divinity(h.c) and Industrial Engineering.
